And I loved the idea of a barter system vs generic gold, even if this isn't QUITE like that, it's close. Waste, and makes buyng those first few missing pieces of equipment (which you always have in an RPG) much harder and more tedious than it needs to be.Īfter that? Yes, the inventory is sufficient. Seems like every other critter is dropping chest armor and tower shields, especially early on. In that regard I think the feeling could probably be fixed with something as simple as a loot table revamp (for those early zones) that favored things like narrow weapons over bulky armor and shields, even if most everything at that point has to be white gear. And it seems to last longer (in terms of levelling / progressing) than I'd want it to if I were a Dev of this game.

Yes, later on there's no reason to lug 4 white tower shields back for 1/5 of a Wisdom scroll, but it hits you right in the face in the beginning that you just can't adventure for more than 90 seconds or so without returning to sell crap, if you want to buy pieces you can use that aren't dropping. There's just a moderately wide patch of early game where you really want basic currencies but your inventory is literally full within the first 3 packs of monsters, about 10 steps into your trip out. Don't really have an issue and I tend to hoard stuff like crap Uniques, Skill Gems(no quality), extra Rings/Belts/Amulets and other random crap lol. 'Course if I run into some Rares or Side Area/Event/whatever I'll usually need to Port then thanks to the burst of candy. Then I'll Vendor my Inventory and return. Personally I just keep going until I encounter a Way Point. Either that or carry a few Portal Scrolls on you. If you are "crippled by lack of space" then stop picking up garbage. You actually get a really good sized Inventory in this game and a single Stash Tab is like 4x(actually 4^ thanks to Tabs) bigger than D2 which is awesome. totally inefficient.Īs for Inventory Space as someone mentioned prior: It's a balance thing. If you have a Currency problem chances are you are spending it willy-nilly which is bad/wrong, or you are loading your Inventory with literally everything from 2Handers and Armor to Axes and Longswords. Alternatively Yellows/Rares tend to give you a bunch of Transmute Shards as well as other Currency depending on how good they are. Need Transmute Shards? Pick up the same things listed above. Need scraps for Identify Scrolls? Pick up White Belts, Rings, Daggers, Wands, Short Swords and Amulets. You be smart and pick up economical trash. How are you ever supposed to afford anything then, if you don't sell copious amounts of trash - which you can't carry, of course?
